Packages not Verifying w/ 6.0

Hey there folks,

Well we took the jump, upgraded to 6.0 everything seemed fine. But
when we try to push stuff with Casper Remote it fails. When we go to
the log on the failed push it says it is failing when it tries to
Verify the DMG.

Verifying DMG...

Error: The downloaded package could not be verified.

Enforcing Management Framework...

The Management Framework will be enforced as soon as all Policies are
done executing

Any ideas? Probably something simple.

Thanks everyone!

I've been pushing out packages with 6.0 just fine. Just tested it again. Do all packages do this, have you tried to push another package?

I know that 6.0 has appeared a little more sensitive to corrupt DMG files than 5.13 has been. I had a package that would just hang Casper Imaging, but when I tried to mount the DMG manually the OS told me that some of the information might be corrupt. I rebuilt the pack and all is fine.

I'm also using an SMB share. What type of distribution point are you using? Are you using the new HTTP stuff or what you had before?

I especially like the percentage status of the install per package with Casper Remote!

I wouldn't out right blame Casper Remote...

Not blaming casper remote per say that's just when we noticed the issue.
There is definitely something wrong, but it seems strange as the same
packages worked just fine this morning pre upgrade and now they are not
able to be verified. This is off of the main casper server using AFP.
And it is actually a number of packages, more than we'd care to rebuild
if we don't have too. We pulled down one of the problem packages and
we were able to mount and verify it like a normal DMG in finder. Any
other suggestions?

I made a backup of the server before upgrade just in case something went
terribly wrong, I just think this is not one of those cases, seems more
like something is goofy that could probably be fixed pretty easily if we
can figure out the nature of the issue.

Thanks!

I wish I had more suggestions, but it sounds like you've done the basic things I'd check for.

Wish I could be more helpful. =/

OK just got a call from JAMF support on this. For our issue we had to
go into the Distribution points and uncheck "http Downloads are enabled
for this Distribution Point"

Thanks JAMF!

Thanks for posting this back to the list. I just ran into the same problem, and knowing that I saw a solution on the list, I went back and found this email. Now, I'm pushing just fine.

Thanks again!
