As we roll out Office 2016 for our Mac Users a few folks are asking that we re-install the Microsoft Document Connect app from 2011 that is no longer present in 2016. Has anyone successfully packaged it separately from the Office 2011 Suite and deployed on Macs running Office 2016 without 2011 installed?
Any other work arounds for users to connect to Sharepoint sites? Does anyone know if Microsoft has plans to include this in future releases?

we did this...
My teammate did it
1) Take a snapshot
2) remove the office 2011 apps you don't need
3) leave the permissions as is
4) package as a dmg
that seem to deploy ok...
