Suspect not as no mention of this in documentation or discussions, but just wanted to confirm. This is one of the few "icings" that keeps me bouncing between Composer and Packages.

Yeah, for any type of package that is intended to be run by an end user or even a technician, I tend to build them in Packages rather than Composer for that very reason. It just has much more flexibility. Composer is fine for anything that you intend to use in a policy or some silent method. But for any interaction, use something else.

Packages rocks...JAMF should partner with Sudré to offer it as a supported Packaging tool.
Composer is OK for beginners or folks who don't need to build logic into their packages. Or for folks who need to use the DMG package format (quite honestly we've never had the need). But it ain't in the big leagues...the rest of the Casper Suite is so much more mature and capable..
