possible to stop domain bound clients from seeing directory shared printers

Hello everyone, I thought I would run this by the board before I start digging deeper since everyone here has been so helpful in the past. We host over a hundred printers from our 2008 R2 print server. Our staff and students are entirely mac, but we have lots of windows computers spread throughout our administration, finance and business departments. We maintain all of our printers with specific drivers and options in self service, but we always have users that fall back to the old system preferences way of adding a printer that's directory shared and then they get the wrong driver and incorrect settings. Is there a simple way to essentially stop a mac client from seeing directory shared printers that we could implement on all of our clients? This would be a much easier step than trying to configure GPO printer installs for our windows clients and then turning off directory listing all together...
