just a weird bug. I thought I'd post it in case someone knows what's happening.
In History Hardware and Software History , the "HD % FULL" column shows 100% when connected to VPNs, and 0% when the devices are disconnected from the VPNs.
The "HD size" column doesn't change.
In Inventory Storage, the disk reports only a few % used.
Devices onsite don't show this issue.
The devices are standard iMacs 21.5", with Macos 10.15.3.
