Re-pushing a Config Profile

Scenario: I have a profile with a number of failures. If I go into the profile, and change it in anyway... in this case by doing something as simple as deleting and re-adding a letter in the name, then upon saving the profile I am asked whether to push the profile to everyone or just machines that don't have the profile.

I know there isn't an official way of re-pushing a config profile, but if I select the second option above, am I basically accomplishing the same thing?

Profiles that have failed to install will continue to attempt to install until successful within a fairly long time-out (multiple months). This time-out is defined, but not published, by Apple.

Essentially, unless something in your profile or your MDM communications is broken, the profile will eventually succeed during one of the great many times per day that the device communicates with APNs and your JSS.
