Just wanted to understand what the process is here:
I placed an app in the Self Service Store, and I believe some students installed this app when they shouldn't have. I've scoped out the student devices from the original deployment (I always make sure to check "Remove app when profile is removed"). This should effectively remove the app from the student devices, correct? The licenses should free up and be able to be used on other devices?

That's correct, as soon as the device connects on WIFI and do an inventory check it should update itself.
