So with new OS Release of 10.15, Ruby and curl no longer works.

Anyone got a way to run a script in 10.15 that will install ruby or curl. Or another way to download files using terminal. the new default is zsh

thanks......

So, the default shell, which is now zsh has nothing to do with Ruby or curl, as those are separate technologies. As for third party languages in Catalina, I have opted to ship my own. I have been shipping Python 3 + ObjC bridge since June of this year. I have not swapped anything over to my Python 3 env yet, as Catalina still ships Python 2.7 and that still works. After Catalina goes GM, I will slowly look at migrating everything to a workflow where we ship our own third party languages/libs.

I think this is the new meta with macOS, as Apple is looking to probably get out of the business of shipping as many third party things as they can. This is purely my speculation based off the hints Apple is giving us.
