SMB Share limitation (if it exists)....

I'm having a little problem replicating some Adobe Installer pkgs to a Linux Ubuntu Server I recently configured as a Distribution Server. The server has 60Gb of free space.

It shows up in Casper Admin, every other pkg and dmg (including the MacOS.dmg, which is 5.5GB) makes it through without an issue. The problem is the AdobeCS6Installer.pkg (4.8GB) that I created using the newest AAMEE. It replicates fine to my secondary AFP Distribution point thats on a Mac Mini, but it doesn't get copied to the SMB share hosted on the Ubuntu Server VM.

If anyone else has encountered this issue, I'd really appreciate to find out how you got around it.

Thanks

AAMEE packages don't jive well with SMB share points. Take a peek over here:

I imagine you could continue to distribute off your main AFP distribution point.

I've worked around a similar issue (SMB repo on Red Hat) with AAMEE-built installers by using SFTP instead of SMB to upload the Adobe installer. That said, I'm not replicating my repo elsewhere.

Thank you so much for your quick replies.

I'm following the method described in the following post now:

I'll definitely share my results after testing.
