Strange happenings with scripts

Not applicable

Has anyone else run into issues when serving scripts through policies over
http? IT seems that most of my scripts, or at least AppleScripts, that run
as part of policies in Casper are not executing properly when they are
pulled down via http. I am still troubleshooting the issue but I thought I
would see if anyone else has run into this...

I've been running scripts as policies since we started using Casper, including a couple that run at ever login, and haven't seen any issues. We have seen some issues with packages pulled over http and have thus shut http downloads off. I don't know if this might be a solution for you. Do you get the same problems if you don't use http downloads?

Also, this is a pretty general question, can you be more specific about the problems you are having? I've got a lot of experience script the Mac, though mostly Bash but also AppleScript, and may be able to help if I know what kinds of problems you are having.

I've seen similar symptoms where small scripts fail over http but work when forced over afp. Small as in binding to Open Directory scripts.
