I know Apple has a lot going on right now, but I've purchased a number of apps over the last 3 days and only 1 of them has showed up in my JSS. Is there a refresh button I'm missing in the JSS that will populate my new content into the list? My VPP token isn't expired or anything.

This is an issue that we’re aware of.
We have a defect filed to keep tabs on it, but it looks as though the main issue appears to be Apple returning incorrect information when the JSS submits a request for an information update.
We have a workaround in place that forces a full refresh to be pulled from Apple, but as it involves making changes inside of MySQL, it’s something you’d need to contact your Technical Account Manager about.
We’re not yet certain why this is happening or why a full refresh request from the JSS to Apple is necessary to pull the updated information, but it’s what we’ve found we currently need to do. Development is aware of it and has been digging more into why it’s happening.
When you open a case for this with your Technical Account Manager, please reference D-007627, as we have the workaround steps and MySQL command noted in there and it will make it a bit quicker for your Technical Account Manager to get that information back to you.
Thanks!

Here's the kicker. I can't do any changing to our SQL database because we have some stuff (like our website that uses it and our announcement server) that was programmed for an older version and LUCKILY the JSS is still working with it. Making changes in MySQL will mess this other stuff up.

Unfortunately, to force the full refresh and get Apple to send the correct information back to the JSS, we will need to run a command in MySQL in the jamfsoftware database to update one table column specific to VPP.
This is the only workaround we have for this issue and if we are unable to do that, there isn’t anything else we have found that will cause the licenses to come though with any sort of reliability or regularity.
If you have not yet contacted your Technical Account Manager, please do so when you have some time, as they can give you more details about the workaround.
Thanks!

We have had this issue for nearly 2 weeks now. The work around has not worked for us. Our staff and students are getting a little antsy to get some of the VPP apps pushed out to them on our new deployment.

@smurphyusd346 I ran into this with a client of mine. Ended up being a couple of issues. Strongly suggest reaching out to your TAM and scheduling a conference call/remote session where they can "drive" and dive into MySQL. They will be able to resolve the problem...

Thanks for your input on this. Is this still the best/only way to get the JSS to update with the VPP stuff? How often might this bug pop up? Will high VPP volume cause issues?

@amanda.wulff Any idea of defect D-007627 has been solved yet ? I have probably a couple hundred different apps purchased in VPP, but I only see about 56. Running a 9.81 JSS. Do I need to talk to Tom Kohler and mention D-007627 ?

Hi @rcorbin
D-007627 is listed as closed since 9.64. Mention of this can be found on page 15 of the 9.64 Release Notes.
If you are on 9.64 or newer and are still seeing the behavior, please get in touch with your Technical Account Manager, as we may have an underlying cause that is different from D-007627 that needs to be looked at a bit more closely. In this case, since you mentioned you're on 9.81 and are seeing odd behavior with VPP, I'd recommend getting in touch with your TAM to look into it a bit further.
As always, you can check the release notes for every release version to find out which defects were taken care of in that particular version. Release Notes can be found by going to the My Assets section of JAMF Nation.
Thanks!
