VPP: Install App Automatically/Prompt Users to Install, and make available in Self Service.

My school wants me to install nearpod on every iPad, and we have a mix of supervised and unsupervised students (LOL). Some student's will see the notification to install and will except, others will just hit cancel. Do I need to make 2 JSS app additions? One to try and get the students to install automatically, and one to put it in self service, for those who ignore the install request?

This way when the teacher shows up they can say, go to self service if you don't have this app already.

Thanks

Yes you would need to make two entries in the app catalog.

If you have DEP, VPP and most devices on iOS 9.2.1, take advantage of it and utilize device level assignments. One simply has to "purchase" the app in the VPP portal and scope it accordingly to devices you desire and set to auto install. No installation prompts to deal with there.

Just recently had to push out AirSecure Test to 400+ devices at a single school site and I can count on one hand the number of devices I had to actually touch. VPP and device level assignments is a godsend.
