SOTI is a global company that specializes in the production of mobile device management (MDM) solutions. These solutions are designed to help businesses manage and secure the mobile devices that are used by employees, such as mobile computers, tablets, printers.
Maintain, Manage, Update & Support the SOTI mobile device management solution (MDM) and connected devices
• Support the Design and Architecture of SOTI mobile device management platform with the Customer
• Support & Maintenance (including proactive checks, compliance levels), configure and onboard new RF guns and thermal printers
• Add/remove the devices from the console including requesting and maintaining security service accounts required for all devices to operate
• Testing of the operating system; security upgrades (including Zebra & Lifeguard updates), firmware & drivers
• Deployment of the operating system; security upgrades, firmware (Post Testing) & drivers
• Troubleshoot devices related end to end issues for supported backend application & systems
• Support & Maintenance (preventative maintenance including proactive checks and compliance levels, spare kits, etc.) of specialty printers, drivers & the print queues
• Design, Architecture & Recommend Compliance Levels, Process & Roadmap for RF Devices, specialty printers
• Maintain N-1 currency and compliance for RF Devices, specialty printers & Pick2Voice devices including hot spares
Statement of Work
• Maintain the physical asset inventory (including peripheral devices, maintaining spare RF and printer devices, ensuring working spares are always pre-configured, charged, tested regularly, etc. and readily available for use when required by the business), and publish reports
• Leverage the existing software & instance contracts and report/update for renewals
• Vendor coordination, management, and escalation support (RMA Repairs and Returns)
• Coordinate with the major incident management team for effective problem management and root cause analysis
• Create and maintain master documentation repository, Runbooks, Operating Manuals, including updates to disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
• Maintain support knowledge and continue "train-the-trainer” approach to ensure knowledge is retained in case of support staff changes or additions
• Procurement of the hardware and software including the maintenance & support contracts for RF Devices, specialty printers & Pick2Voice devices
• Recommend & propose the best practices changes and the latest upgrades & support based upon the operational trends & capacity/utilization reports
• Maintenance & support of the middleware servers and applications such as (VelocityWeb, StayLinked)
• Setup and maintain regional labs in major Warehouse/Distribution Center (i.e. HongKong / Japan) with test RF guns, docking stations, P2V devices etc. These labs should be used by the Wipro support team to test configurations/images and troubleshooting issues.
