Mann Consulting is growing. We’re looking for an experienced Mac technologist specializing in device management for a full-time, salaried position with benefits and considerable opportunity for development and advancement. This is not like an in-house IT role: no two days are the same. Our consultants are exposed to a wide range of technical challenges involving strategic guidance, project implementation, network design, troubleshooting, and vendor supervision.

Who?

We're a top IT consultancy based in the San Francisco Bay Area. We support around 300 businesses every year. Mann provides help desk, strategic planning, network support, onboarding/offboarding, systems automation, security, as well as office moves and build outs. Despite all this growth, we’re a stable company: privately held, family-owned for over three decades! You bring the tech skills and a sincere desire to learn and help people. We provide you with the tools, systems, benefits, flexibility, a training budget, plus a fantastic team to do your very best work.

Where?

Our office is located in San Francisco. Remember offices? Many of our staff work remotely, some are completely remote depending on the position.

What?

401K, profit-sharing, medical, dental, wellness programs, equipment purchase discounts, paid-time-off, commuter checks, monthly fitness reimbursement and much more.

Our Ideal Candidate?

  • Proven experience as an IT Technician or relevant position (3-5 years of experience)
  • Experience managing Apple devices using Jamf Pro
  • Preferred Jamf 400 Certification (or similar)
  • Proficient with a scripting language such as Bash or Zsh
  • Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic network troubleshooting skills
  • General MSP knowledge
  • Experience providing oversight and operational management for critical IT tools such as Okta, Google Workspaces, Jamf, Slack, AirWatch, and Zoom
  • Ability to self motivate, work independently, and collaborate on a team
  • Experience providing support for macOS, Windows, iOS, and Android
  • Articulate, strong time & stress management
  • Ability and willingness to wear multiple hats (multiple projects at multiple clients, while also learning new certifications and skills. This is not a boring job!)

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular preventative maintenance onsite checklists, schedule downtime with clients on major upgrades, work with internal teams to maintain company technology standards, and ensure documentation for all managed clients are updated and maintained.
  •  Communication within the team, work closely with them to deliver a great client experience in a timely fashion, communicate and open new opportunities for clients on major projects, and escalate and report client’s issues and concerns.
  • Work closely with the scheduling/admin team in meeting client’s expectations, travel to client offices for routine and additional onsite appointments.
  • Assist in authoring standards of care for client work
  • Supervise other associates or freelance consultants when appropriate
