I had a user skip over the instructions and accidentally create a new local login rather than 'connect' her existing user account. Thankfully local login is enabled and she is back in business on her legacy local account, but what is the best way to 're-trigger' the prompt to alias to her existing account ? Is it easiest to just delete the new JAMF Connect profile and it will re-trigger on login. or is there an easier way ?

Yes.  Just delete the newly created account and it will prompt again upon next login.

I have a similar issue here.

I have a user need to change alias for her work email, so I am wondering how we can re-trigger the connect to local account prompt, and relink the new alias to it.

Thanks in advance!

If its an account that was already "migrated" then you can use the steps here
