10.6 Password from Screensaver?

Not applicable

Hey all,

Is anyone else having any trouble with the MCX settings for enforcing
passwords when returning from screensaver? It was working with all of
our 10.5 machines, but it seems to be spotty on our 10.6 machines.

I've verified that MCX settings are in fact being applied, but it seems
that that specific one doesn't like some machines. The older Core 2 Duo
MBP seems to accept the setting just fine, and the box is grayed out in
System Preferences, but the i5 and i7 won't take the setting.

I've included screenshots of the MCX Setting window, and from both of
the different machines.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Bob

Yes, we've run into the same thing. It seems like a reboot often fixes it, but we haven't been able to nail down what the problem is.

Anyone ever get anywhere with this issue? We're having same issues.

I was able to get the box checked, but I can't get the checkbox greyed out,
so it's still clickable by the user...
