AD binding over VPN...

so one of my customers is changing from Cisco VPN to netconnect SSL vpn, which normally is not a big deal, but users are remote, so they have to get their computer connected via VPN to get bound to AD, then they have to logout as the firstboot user and login as themselves to get their account cached locally. problem is when you logout with this SSL VPN, the VPN session that is running in the browser dies thus making it impossible for the user to login as themselves.
Does anybody know if there is a way to download the user account and cache the pw before they login? Oh the other great news is that on SL we have filevault homes required for mobile accounts so I am sure that adds some complexity to pre-acquiring their account.

VPN in, enable fast user switching, log in with the user to cache it, log out. log back into the initial user, disable fast user switching.

@Chris
I got this from an apple technical guy just a few minutes before you, and it works a treat. the only issue is I have to get the user logged in so a su – in a terminal or something to that extent.
@Jared
I might try fast user switching for this instance, it has to be disabled as a policy, but we could enable it for this purpose and then kill it off again. thanks for the ideas
