Hi Jamfsters,
Is anyone seeing issues opening files made with 2017 Adobe CC not opening in Adobe CC 2018?
Just checking if its a one off on the user end or others have seen this behavior

@jsmith-ppu - You are right about backward compatibility as mentioned here : https://www.filmimpact.net/blog/adobe-premiere-pro-cc-2018/
As for @Nix4Life - Others seem to have reported similar issues and ended up installing CC2017. Report the bug to Adobe and it might be fixed. Fingers crossed.

Ive seen this with several end users. 2018 files aren't opening in 2017 either.

I think the backwards compatibility issues are by design. We've always had issues when users work on a project in a newer version of Premiere Pro, and then try and open it on a slightly older version. Fortunately, CC 2017 and CC 2018 can coexist on the same machine, so we just pushed the full CC 2018 collection out to our computer labs and left the CC 2017 apps installed.

Yes, issue that I continually have to deal with in my labs. InDesign is famous for this. End up installing the newer version along side the older one until the summer when I do my re-imaging.

I wonder if Adobe updated their enterprise concurrent version install support position?
