We are looking at deploying CS3 this year via the Casper method. We have created the master dmg of the Adobe Master Collection and setup an Adobe Install of just PhotoShop CS3. The script seems to run at reboot, (A box comes showing the Casper symbol saying installing Adobe Products) but it doesn't install anything.
Any insight on this ? Does anything about the First run script get logged anywhere ?
Thanks,

Do you have any log files for the adobe installer process?

Where does that log to ?

I'm not at my Mac right now so I don't know offhand, but I know it's in the console. I want to say /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installer

I would first check the policy logs. I deployed CS3 last school year to about 500 machines district wide using the run policy at reboot method and it worked great for me.
Do you have any pre-existing adobe products on the machine that may conflict with the install? Also, do these machines have enough free HD space to expand the dmg file and then copy it over?

CS3? That's like old news! =)
But at least you can deploy it with the current JSS.
I would check a few things:
Instead of having the system reboot after you have it reimage, uncheck the reboot box, and then browse the Macintosh HD of the newly imaged partition and check the FirstRun startup items script and resources folder in itt o make sure the request to install CS3 is there and the DMG of the Master are in it. Then reboot to the Macintosh HD to let it run FirstRun
The FirstRun startup item is located in /Volumes/Macintosh HD/System/Library/StartupItems/
As someone has already mentioned you can check for Adobe installation logs in:
/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/
FirstRun will generically log the actions it took, some of them, into the main jamf.log:
/var/log/
Hopefully that gets you pointed in the right direction in terms of finding what went wrong. My guess is something is wrong with how you created your master image of the Master Collection somehow.
