Hi Everyone,

We have been using CCP (Creative Cloud Packager) to package up the Adobe packages from their creative cloud. This has been working really well for us for a number of years.

Today, after seeing the new versions of their apps being introduced at Adobe Max, I am trying to package up the latest again, like we have always done.

Once I open CCP, I am presented with a screen that says after Oct 15th, please use Adobe Admin Console. Well, seems easy enough.

I attempted to log into admin console and the ID we have always used doesn't allow us to log into admin console.

Anyone else having issues with this or am I over looking something simple?

Thank you as always for your thoughts and comments.

Seeing the same. Haven't investigate too much yet.

Do you use the enterprise plan? Maybe it's not available in teams.

I noticed here that the new Adobe Admin Console automatically tried to use my personal Adobe ID, which of course results in an access denied. You might make sure it's indeed attempting with your Teams or Enterprise ID.

Thank you @martin and @SGill for your reply. At this point, we are waiting for our Adobe account people to get back to us. We use an Enterprise ID and it has been working for years, first with their AMMEE product and then CCP. One would think it would also work in the admin console. So frustrating the lack of information from Adobe on these things.

Due to this post, I went to my Adobe for Teams portal and found the Packages link. I clicked that and selected the most recent of CC and INDD. It made a pkg and downloaded automagically. I wrapped this pkg in a dmg for use with InstallPKGfromDMG.sh.

It worked. And I was surprised that it was already INDD2019. Plus already an update for INDD.

I for one and glad to see CCP gone. It only worked for me about half the time.

@robertliebsch Just a quick question... Why are you wrapping a .PKG in a .DMG? Why not just push the .PKG to your clients?

Admin Console was working for us two days ago.
Broken now though, Enterprise with federated.
Will give it a day or two and try again, looks like they might have borked something.

@robertliebsch anther question.... what is INDD?

@rqomsiya we wrap it in a DMG because we had lots of failures pushing out the package or dmg for install. After some research I found the InstallPKGfromDMG.sh you can find in the forums here.

@Mhomar INDD is InDesign. That's the dot name for the files yeah? myfile.indd? Apologies for my shorthand. Between Creative Cloud, Sophos, and Office, I've been having a day.

Just an update with the use of packager. Was told by an Adobe Rep today that they will be releasing a new licensing technology called Shared Device Licensing in early 2019. This addresses those of us using device based installs. They are advising enterprise customers with serialized deployments to remain on CC 2018 for now.

Previous updates I got from Adobe as PKGs worked just fine, even pushing them through ARD while our JAMF was down as part of a new upgraded server setup. As for CCP, not always reliable & even wrapping them in DMGs didn't always work. As of yesterday, CCP is useless, & it says to use the Admin Panel Console, where we got Access Denied. Really really annoying due to the fact we only have, as far as I know, is a CLP or TLP.

Great Job Adobe, you've done it again! ;

Here's a good summary about all the changes. Not sure where EDU is supposed to go for Labs once Creative Cloud 2019 becomes the standard...
