Apple Update Deployment

Hello Community!

I am currently researching how to deploy Apple Updates such as Security Updates, Numbers, Pages, Keynote, etc. How are you all deploying these updates?

At this time, I am ok with a quick and dirty way to deploy Keynote, Numbers and Pages.

My environment:
- Dell Server: PowerEdge T360
-- Virtual Servers
- Microsoft Active Directory
- Casper Server running on Microsoft Windows Server 2012

Any thoughts or assistance would be helpful?

Currently we deploy Keynote, Numbers and Pages through VPP+ so that users can update apps via app store. I have been looking to see if there is a way to force app store updates via casper but the easiest was to set them for auto update.

Then for the Apple OS and Security Updates i have a weekly policy that forces updates, in case the auto updates flake out for some reason.

Its not the most efficient way to guarantee updates but it is a pretty efficient way in regards to personal time spent.

We use Patchoo! for software updates and one-off policies for other apps. Our users are admins of their computers so most do what they need on their own; we enforce particularly vulnerable apps like Flash, Java, and Reader based on smart group membership.
