Has anyone seen Error 1 when running the recon command with Apple Remote Desktop?

How are you running the command, and as what user?

When I send a Unix task from ARD and it is a jamf command I send it as root
and it works.
Maybe give that a shot?

Jade
jamf recon needs to be run as root.
If you use sudo jamf recon, then you need to type the password for the user, so even if the user is in the sudoers list, this will also fail.
As Ryan suggests, select root in ARD. Alternatively, create a one line script and add this to Casper. You can then choose to run this script either using Casper Remote or a policy.
