I have a CC 2015 .pkg that I created with CCP. It installs fine any other way, but if I try and preload it onto the 10.10.4 image I am trying to make in AutoDMG it errors out fairly generically.
Can't wrap my head around it, as I've had Adobe installers as part of AutoDMG images before and never had an issue.
I can also build my 10.10.4 image perfectly as long as I don't include the CC .pkg.
Any input, anyone seen similar? I've included the pertinent logs below if that is helpful at all.
Thanks in advance.

for sure I would not expect this to work.
The CCP installer will want to install onto a booted volume. Check out the pre and post flight scripts
Modular imaging is the way to go, add the CCP package to your imaging workflow. Don't try and take all the modules from a modular imaging workflow and squish em all together to get a monolithic image.. kinda defeats the point of using autodmg and modular imaging

So I sort of figured it out... I converted the AutoDMG image (sans CC 2015 obviously) to R/W and attempted to install from my installer to it. It failed identically, when I went back to look why... it was attempting to install to / instead of /Applications/.
When I pointed it to /Applications, it installed perfectly.
Why it's not installing defaulting to /Applications on a .dmg, but does if I install straight to my HDD is beyond me. Maybe if I specify /Applications in the CCP Config instead of default Application directory?

I'd be surprised if the applications work correctly and are licenced correctly on the resulting image once it is deployed.
Let me know how you go.

I wanted to squish this into the base image for times sake. CC install is the biggest time suck of imaging process, so if I can have it as part of the block copy instead I should save myself a hunk of time. I really only install MS Office and CC onto my base, everything else is modular. Normally it really helps a great deal in trimming image time.
We're moving to "no-image" deployment sooner than later so eventually this will be a null factor, but for now shorter deployment time makes everyone happy.

I agree, but is the time issue really an issue?
Set and forget no?
are you really sitting in front of the machine waiting for it to install or can you be doing other things while it is installing?
You can image multiple machines at once no?
New machines with fast SSD's im seeing a full CC install in about 20 minutes

yep, total failure. CC Apps don't even show up after the manual install onto the image. Looks like I'll have to wait the extra 20 minutes and do it the right way. ;)

Yea, I used to deploy CC embedded too to save some time, but I've switched to modular now and get the same 20-30 minute post-install time--it's been a good change here. That timing is 20-at-once or so, btw.
Haven't gone near CC 2015 yet, though…think we're holding off on that one. Adobe releases major version updates way too late in the season for higher-ed to really be able to crunch it in real-time.

@Gillaspy, your faculty must be much nicer than mine. We're launching 2015 this coming Fall semester. :/

Packages created by AAMEE and/or CCP will not install correctly on volumes other than the current boot volume. This precludes their use with AutoDMG and other similar mechanisms.
