BGInfo / GeekTool on Yosemite

Has anyone been able to run Geek Tool or something similar on Yosemite (10.10.2)?

Haven't been able to get this working, when trying to run the prefpane complains about a certificate. Trying to open a geeklet from the finder opens the app but then nothing.

Any help would be appreciated, just wanting some computer information to display on the desktop for support techs.

Works fine on both of my mac's on 10.10.2. I just downloaded it about a week ago with no issues.

@dmw3 by any chance was it a system that was upgraded from an earlier OS X to Yosemite?

Both of mine were.

Just deployed 20 Yosemite servers with GeekTool used to show system information on the desktop. Worked fine.

@dmw3, for the use case you described above.. What information are you wanting to show?

I'm wondering if a self service policy could work too.
