My biggest issues and my biggest problem with the Casper Suite is when you upgrade, the command line binary and the apps do not auto update. Though apparently in version 8 they fixed this, except self service will not update.
So, I have to write a script that first removes Self service from my client, then does a manual trigger policy to install version 8. I would really prefer that you could just drop the newest Casper Suite DMG into Casper Admin and whenever a client checks in, they will update all apps, including admin, composer, remote, etc.
Other than that, the actual upgrade I have never had a problem and I have been using Casper since version 5. I always backup my database, then upgrade and never once have I had an issue with the upgrade process itself on the JSS.
