Hi,
my school started with it's first 1:1 iPad classroom. Additionally to that we have 30 iPads mainly for testing and teacher training.
Our Wifi is provided by a company which supports all schools in our region.
Our Problem: Casper Focus does not work in our school environment. We have an additional independent DSL-access, and I brought my own Time Capsule from home for an own Wifi. In this Wifi Casper Focus worked as it should. (Only problem: When testing this I restarted the Time Capsule, so all the focused/locked iPads automatically connected to the school wifi where I couldn't remove the focus, so I had to take them home with me to unlock.....).
The tech guys from the IT company can see that the focus signal gets to the JAMF server and is sent further on to Apple as it should be. But the push notification from Apple which controls the focus doesn't get back to the iPads. The IT guys switched off all firewalls and watched incoming traffic - with no result.
They said it could be a problem with Apple and our IP-adresses. Maybe we're on some kind of blacklist...
Could this be? Does anyone have another idea?
Best regards
Frajo
