Casper Imaging - User Name Issue

Hey everyone! We are using Casper Imaging on our Netboot server and wanted to start taking advantage of being able to create a user account in the tool. We usually have the username of the account to be "first.last", but it won't let us place a "." between the first and last name. Anyone know if this is a normal function or if there is something wrong with our Imaging application?
