Hi, am new to Casper.
I have been using it to image my computer but when I tried imaging one of our room today I got this message.
"Please verify your network connection or try another distribution point.
You may need to verify information for the distribution point on your JAMF software server. note that casper imaging users the Read only account."
I haven't changed anything and I'm pretty sure the permissions are right, so not sure why this is happening?
Any help would be great.

Can you connect to those shares manually?

Yes, by going to Go Connect to server and manually typing the afp address, I'm able to connect fine.

@Ottig have you verified that the information in Settings (Gear icon) -> Computer Management -> File Share Distributions Points is correct? I assume the computer you are having problems imaging has a known good ethernet connection to the network?

Hi Mpermann,
Yes it looks like the information is correct. There are 17 computers in the room all of which are showing the same message. They all have very good connection to the network as am able to manually connect to the share. .

I would try running a policy on one of them to see if its an issue just with imaging. If that fails as well, I would try putting in the password for the casper_read account in the distribution point settings. Also try putting the casper_write account details in for the read account to test if it's a permissions issue.

@Ottig are you able to get at the JSS's web interface from one of the computers in that room? Can you give a bit more detail on your setup? What version of the JSS and Casper Imaging are you using? Are you Netbooting the systems? If you are is that working normally? Are you getting the error message when you start to image the systems or do you get the message when Casper Imaging is launching on the Netboot set?
