Casper MCX and Password-Protected Printer

Hi All,
In OD/MCX I was able to check a box to require an admin password to
print to a particular printer.
I have tried to replicate this in Casper Managed Prefs but the
settings don't take.
Here's how I tried this:

Opened WGM on my 10.6 computer, setup printer management with all
appropriate settings.
Uploaded the created plist to Casper, where I was able to create 6
setting preferences.
Applied them (either all or just the specific) to my 1.6 lab, and nothing goes.
I have deleted and refreshed the Managed Preferences Folder as well as
the com.apple.mcxprinting.plist in the user's folder
but the settings do not take
Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
Does anyone have another idea on how to protect this printer from
unauthorized printing?
Thanks!
Sandy

Huh.
It's working now.

Although for some reason they are required to authenticate twice when
printing from Photoshop.
never mind!
