Catalina and mobile accounts - Failing to find SMB network home initially

This is an issue we've been seeing since Catalina. Scenario: MacBook running 10.15.x, bound to AD, using mobile accounts, SMB network home. New user gets provisioned by authenticating against AD over an ethernet connection. Once in newly-created user account, wireless is configured and password stored in Keychain. During subsequent logins without an ethernet connection, the following error appears almost immediately:

21f67ded06e14602aa6b1dc6b8278158

However, the network home globe appears in the Dock, but when attempting to open it, the following message appears:

f2300794b28e4086b932bb1c234f3de2

So it is able to access the network home, but also prompts for a password every time, despite credentials being stored in the Keychain.

Up until Mojave, this was working flawlessly for us. It seems like this is a timing issue, where the system is attempting to mount the network home prior to the wireless connection being fully established.

Any thoughts?

Have you been able to find any solution or workaround to this?

We are experiencing the same in 10.5.x these days...MacBook AD binded with mobile account, as soon as it is out of company, the device prompts for the same message at login..
