ChatGPT App on MDM managed iPads Unable to Install "ChatGPT" JAMF pro

Hi All,

Have anyone tried to install ChatGPT on  MDM manage devices(I'm using JAMF pro )?



When I tap on the installed app I get an error  as below with two options VIew in store or OK

Unable to Install "ChatGPT"
you must purchase this app to install it.
      View in App Store
               OK


I have pushed the app to selected devices it is available in the Self-service and shows as "Reinstall"

This is urgent have to configure this before Wednesday

Help will be much appreciate

Some IPad was fine it got installed although those I pad didn't have the latest iOS update.


There were a few needs to Update the iOS 16.6 and after several restarts, it got installed

It's very random can't give a proper answer but I manage to sort out the issue.

Purchase via VPP and assign to the devices you want.

Could you explain more?

Normally what I did /do is go to the Scholl manager and purchase the app from there

Then come back to the Jamf Pro (the app will be available automatically )  from there I push for the devices.

In Jamf, did you check off the box to "Assign Content Purchased in Volume"?Screenshot 2023-08-14 at 8.16.07 AM.png
