Composing Home Directory

I have the same settings for a local user to put on several machines. I composed my user "usstudent" What is the best way to send this out? Should I send out the account first via remote and then the home folder? I fill user templates on this?

Kathie,

If you use the Fill User Template feature on your packages to populate all of the data you'd like to have in your local account, then you won't need to distribute a home folder.

If you have user data other than what gets distributed by your normal packages, you can package a home folder, but you'll want to be sure to address ownership and permissions, either in Composer when you build the package or with an After or At Reboot script.
