Copying a jamf-enrolled device via QuickStart - What is happening?

Hello,

what happens if you copy a jamf-enrolled device to a new device via QuickStart?

Is that even possible? And will the new device still be enrolled and the business data also copied?

And what happens to private data?

Are you using ADE/DEP for your iPhones/iPads? The Quick Start option is not compatible with DEP enrolled devices. See https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210216, at the bottom where it explains “If your new device is enrolled in Apple School Manager or Apple Business Manager, you can't use Quick Start to transfer data from your current device.”. But we also have no way to hide this option since it appears before the DEP enrollment sequence begins. Even if a user attempts to use the Quick Start option on a DEP enable device, it will actually fail part way through, the device will proceed with the DEP enrollment and nothing will have been transferred.
