I feel like this should be fairly easy to setup. I have just not been able to get it working.

I have a bunch of iPads, some of which are equipped with LTE. I want to create a Smart Group that grabs all the devices that have 4G. This can be the iPhones and iPads.

Are you using the Smart Group criteria "Cellular Technology"? There are 4 options for that under my JSS. CDMA/GSM/None/Not Available.

Yes, I am using the criteria "Cellular Technology". Then I set the option to "CDMA" but none of my iPads that are CDMA show up. If I add an "or" opperator to include "GSM" a single iPads of the dozen shows up.

Do you see cellular information in the devices inventory information? If you are, sounds like a bug and you should reach out to your TAM to verify it.
