Hello
We have a configuration profile configured to ‘Defer software updates for 30 days’ as part of our Restrictions Configuration Profile. This does not appear to be working.
We know the configuration profile itself is working as it also blocks users from opening certain System Preferences Panes.
As an example on September 19th Safari 13 was released. I would expect that machines would not pick this up for 30days from the 19th but computers are already getting this installed
Does anyone have any ideas?

The software update deferral only works with macOS/iOS point and major releases. For example 10.14.5 to 10.14.6 is a point release and 10.14.6 to 10.15 is a major release. It doesn’t apply to updates like Safari and supplemental OS updates.
