We had to unassign devices in DEP from our JSS then assign them back in order for unable to contact error to go away.
There is also a bug in JAMF where if you haven't accepted updated DEP Terms and Conditions you will get an error.
Also when we had these errors we were giving PI-004471 as the Product Issue to reference.
