I am trying to install CrowdStrike agent on an iPhone (iOS) but keep running into errors.
Steps taken:
1. CrowdStrike app is pushed out to iOS via 'Mobile Device Apps' + Managed Distribution - Successful
2. Created a configuration profile for mobile devices. Content Filter payload configured.
Filter Type - Plugin
Identifier - com.crowdstrike.falconmobile
Filter WebKit - Unchecked
Filter Socket - Checked
Under Custom data, I have key/value mapping I got from CrowdStrike that contains the following key/value pairs:
user_email | |
hostname | $SERIALNUMBER |
skip_legal | True |
cloud_id | <REDACTED> |
customer_id | <REDACTED> |
provisioning_token | <REDACTED> |
The application installs but when I open the application and click "Get Started" I see the following error - Crowdstrike missing deploymeny profile ios. Content Profile does not exist.
Can someone help?

Hi,
I was able get Crowdstrike app working on an ipad through JAMF. The information that kabiradvani posted was a starting point but I needed to add in a few items for the Crowdstrike app to successfully and transparently active our JAMF managed ipads.
Steps taken:
1. CrowdStrike app is pushed out to iOS via 'Mobile Device Apps' + Managed Distribution; Device level and install immediately
2. Created a configuration profile for mobile devices
2a. Content Filter
- Filter Name: CrowdStrike Falcon
- Filter Type: Plugin
- Identifier: com.crowdstrike.falconmobile
- Organization: <information from your Security team managing the Crowdstrike subscription>
- Socket Filter: Enabled
- Under Custom data, key/value mapping I got from the mobile config file our Security team generated from the Crowdstrike subscription, contains the following key/value pairs:
user_email | |
hostname | $DEVICENAME |
skip_legal | True |
cloud_id | <REDACTED> |
customer_id | <REDACTED> |
provisioning_token | <REDACTED> |
mdm_device_id | <REDACTED> |
grouping_tags | <REDACTED> |
- CrowdStrike Falcon + Bundle ID: com.crowdstrike.falconmobile
- Apple generic + Bundle ID: com.apple.notificationsettings.<REDACTED>
- Generic Apple + Bundle ID: com.apple.notificationsettings
