So we ran into a problem where if someone typed the name of our media repository into the address bar in Safari without using the complete URL it would display a Siri Knowledge Suggestion with an elicit picture of an adult magazine cover from a Wikipedia article about the magazine.
Using the restrictions profile did nothing as none of the Siri related options affects Safari. The trick is to push a content filter profile with Built-In: Limit Adult Content selected. This effectively puts the device in SafeSearch mode (per this article https://www.jamf.com/jamf-nation/discussions/22835/google-safe-search-on-ipad) but in so doing disables the native search functionality of the address bar. So full URLs still work just fine but you can't just start typing and have stuff pop up.
You can literally see it on the iPad when you start to type something it "twitches" where the Siri Knowledge Suggestions should appear and then nothing populates. You also get the added bonus of adult content filtering.
Note: This only works on supervised devices. Just thought I would share.
