Distribution point won't mount when trying to replicate

My ordinal DP was on a Mac server and the new DP is on a Win 2008 box. When I try to replicate the DP it says the server could not me mounted and sends me in the direction of an unhelpful log file. Has anyone else had this problem?

I've checked my share on the Windows server and that is working fine.

Can you mount it manually on your Mac with the appropriate accounts? If so, server-side permissions are okay.

It's likely in the way you've defined the server in the JSS. Are you using local or domain accounts?

Yes I can mount it manually using the local accounts I've created on the server.

Try Casper Admin in different machine. Even I faced this issue in SMB Share, but Casper Admin on other machine worked.

Make sure you don't have any Kerberos tickets on your machine either.

Still no luck on a different machine. when you say kerberos tickets, is that in general or something specific to JSS etc?

Well there's your problem. If it's a local account (as opposed to a domain account), it should be the name of the hostname. I'm guessing from other information here it should read "chlcasper." Remember to think Windows: the "domain" in this case is the local box that you're connecting to.

Your port should also be 445.
