downgrade iOS

I asked Apple about getting iPad downgrade iOS to test multiple scenario of updates on our Kiosk iPads but they said there is no supported way of doing this. Is there an unsupported way of this doing? I've tried downloading IPSW file and drop it in AC2 but it's not working.

It can be done, but only if Apple is still signing the old IPSW - and they don't keep signing them for very long. But, saving the IPSW and then doing a DFU on the iPad (and then choosing the old IPSW to restore via Configurator) is the workflow I've used.
