Dual Monitor Setup

Hi guys, hope you're doing well today. We have a user that has the MacBook Pro Mid 2017 and a set of dual monitors. She's having an issue with the displays not working well. She requested the monitors to be setup vertically. Kind of like a trade floor style. I tried using different dongles and docking stations. to test for a solution. I can't seem to get them to work. Her monitor display seems to randomly rotate. She has to unplug the dock and plug back in several times. Anyone knows how to work around this?. Im not sure if this the right place to post about monitor setups. I could really use some help.

-Which type of cable/adapter/monitor are you using?
-Which version of macOS?
-Are the 2 monitors the same brand/model that other Mac users have at your org?
-Are any other Mac users seeing the same issue, on the same version of macOS, with the same cables & monitors as this person?
-Can you plug a known good Mac into this monitor setup and experience the same problem?
-If this is a 13-inch Mac with Touch Bar, do you experience the same problem if a single monitor is plugged into opposing sides of the Mac vs both plugged into the left side?

@sshort She is using the Asus VE248 Monitor. Her laptop is on macOS Mojave. The monitors are a different model than the standard 27 inch ones we use. Other Mac users are seeing similar issues. Their screens are reversed and display configs don't save. They have reported needing to unplug and plug back in dongle/docking stations. This is a 13 inch MacBook Pro Mid 2017 without touch bar. We are using a standard HDMI cable and/or apple and amazon multiport adaptors. They come with one usb-c, hdmi, and usb A ports. She is also using a dock that she that plugs into both usc-b c ports on the laptop.
