I've been able to reproduce an issue in Casper Imaging, where a known good 10.6.6 base install then has the 10.6.7 combo updater applied within the workflow of the configuration. This apparently causes a problem with dylib (much like this: http://www.jamfsoftware.com/kb/article.php?id=271), the result of which is a failure for the FirstRun script to execute it's instructions. The workaround is to remove the Combo updater from the configuration and allow jamf SoftwareUpdate to run as a post-install option.
Is anyone seeing something similar - I'm open to the idea that there might be a mismatch between the build on the 10.6.6 image with the Combo updater, but that seems a little unusual.
Thoughts anyone?
