It would be helpful to have a pref to set Composer to store its Sources folder in a specific location. Once a package project is started, it's standard procedure to include source files in the project folder. Currently you have to dig through to this path to get to the Sources:
/Library/Application Support/JAMF/Composer/Sources/MyApplicationPackage
So if we could specify location of Sources folder, we can have it sit on a server so it's backed up to tape nightly (workstations are not backed up).
Not looking to share the Sources folder, just looking to redirect it to a safer location.
I'm BCC'ing JAMF Support on this email.

Hi Jared,
Good idea. Would be nice to have Composer offer the option though.

They are rolling out version 8 really soon, so I am going to hold all my feature requests until I see what they have to offer in the new version.

And just so we're all clear, this is a do-able without a symlink as Miles so pointed out to Don and I with a well done RTFM.
It's in Composer's prefs.
When will I learn there's a GUI on this dang thing and it's not all symlinks, conf files and shell scripts?!
:)
