Could it be possible that when you update the jamf binary via Casper policy there could also be a way to update all needed Jamf apps as well? Every time I update the back end (JSS and Jamf binary) I have to manually update Self Service. Could this possibly be set up to update everything in one step? The command line will self update on it's own but self service app will not.
Thanks

One possibility would be to setup a smart computer group with the jamf binary version and scope the install of the new Self Service app to that group.

I’m liking that idea...
I deploy Recon, Casper Remote, and Self Service to all boxes. I just end up making a pack of them and pushing it out with Policy, but having it just happen automagically would be super. You’d want the versions to remain consistent anyway.

Yes, that is what I am doing right now. However, I still gotta pack up the new version of self service. I was thinking maybe it would be nice if there were a check box in say the advanced section of a policy that could enable us to tell the client to update all present Jamf apps. To avoid the mundane task of always repacking them. So, I could just say, upload the new Casper DMG to the JSS and then tell it which Jamf apps to update, or to update all preset apps.
Thanks

Here is a second to that request.

I'd like to see this applied to all the Casper Suite apps. Rather than

All my Macs have Restore partitions but keeping the the Casper Imaging
application up-to-date requires a policy and some package trickery to get
it updated.
