I created a free tool to get the LAPS password for a Mac. This is designed for IT admins or Helpdesk staff.

Check it out here https://github.com/kylejericson/Jamf-LAPS-Bootstrapper

First info: I had to install Swift Dialog manually, the automatic install as described in the release notes didn't work.

edit: tool is working fine for me, thanks a lot!

@mickl089 These issues should be fixed in version 1.4

Nice, I'd previously written something similar were it used a two part process but this is neater 👍

Having the ID means it can pull any extension attribute content so could nicely be rebranded to pull anything store as an EA or perhaps even build out further so a non Jamf tech with a login could pull a custom set of info from a device record.

Hi Kyle,

I just tried the bootsrapper and it's worked, but after I saved credentials the first time now the app don't work anymore, it returns the following error: LAPS Authorisation Error - Failed to get Bearer Token. Error:000;

Even after I tried to delete and re download and run the app it happens the same, I already deleted the credentials saved in the KeyChain but I didn't find the path "HOME/Library/Application Support/jamfbootstrapper" to eventually delete any saved information there too.

Interesting thing is that I tried to run the app in another computer and without saving credentials it's working perfectly all the times, the only thing there is that is not really comfortable having to log all the times all the credentials required.

Have you any suggestion?

Thank you so much.

Not sure you can open a issue on github for this.
