I'm trying to push out the gmail app to our iPads, but it is tagged as unavailable with the error: "This app was removed from App Store. It is no longer available for deployment. The app was automatically removed from Self Service."

I don't think this is really being discontinued from Google, is it? I can still purchase licenses in the VPP store. I do notice that the current version is listed as 6.0.19 and the version I had in Jamf was 5.0.17 and it was set not to download updates automatically. I thought if there was a way to delete it from Jamf and then purchase additional licenses, that would work, but I don't see how to do that. Thoughts?

Here is a link to the current version:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/gmail-email-by-google/id422689480

I think you have not updated that version, and it is no longer available. I'd suggest you go ahead and manually add a new app, search for it. I think the same VPP license will apply.
