HELP w\ Unrelated Question: Thunderbolt Capture device VGA

Trying to get our nursing program up and running with StudioCode.
Its a video recording and annotating software normally used for football games and such.

Unfortunately the BlackMagic Mini Recorder we have only accepts very strict HDMI standards. All of out output is currently from a vga signal that is created by a "combiner" that takes four unique inputs and creates a quad with all four feeds.

So my best step is to replace the black magic with something that records VGA as a capture source on a 2014 MacBook Pro. (In other words, probably T-bolt).

I've had no luck with google juice finding anything that records VGA. Does anyone else know where to look?

Otherwise: The next best option would be a VGA to HDMI converter that does the colorspace and the upscaling of the signal at the same time, correctly enough to please the black magic box. (And not throw a pink hue over everything like my current converter)

I know we normally concentrate on the deployment of the software, but I'm hoping one of you jack of all trades has run into something like this.

Thank you in advance for any help.
