Greetings.
We want to turn on Portable Home Directories (PHDs, or mobile accounts) on our laptops, and manage it through Casper. What methods do you recommend for accomplishing it?
Our clients are running OS X 10.7.4, and are bound to Open Directories servers (running server 10.7.4).
I've tried using Configuration Profiles and Managed Preferences (based on templates and filled in with data to match settings in Workgroup Manager), but still have not got things to work. Yes, I'm aware that Casper can not manage settings for a user with mobile accounts who is bound to an open directory.
Has anyone gotten this to work -- set up mobile accounts through Casper (with custom syncing settings)? What do you recommend?
