Doing a bit of research to see how other companies have their users initiate a request for a new Mac, as we look to improve our own process. If you don't mind sharing, I'd like info on how you do it at your company.
What do your users do to initiate the request for a new Mac? Do they fill out a web form? Send an email? Use some other tool to initiate the request?
How does their request get approved? Does it go to their direct manager for approval? How many "additional hoops" does the request go through before the machine is actually deployed to the user? Is the approval process automated or is there a manual review process?
How long, on average, is the whole process from the time the user "pushes the button" to request the machine until the time they have it in their hands to begin using?
