Hello Everyone,
I looked through several threads but couldn't find an answer to the above question. This may be because no one has had this issue. In our school district our staff are all standard local accounts. I've been testing Nudge and am pleased with how it works however when I go ahead with the "Update Device" it asks for an Admin password to install the update. Kind of what I would expect. However I don't think staff would like it if they had to get a hold of tech every time they want to update.
Does anyone have a similar workflow that allows Standard users to install the update/upgrade?
Thanks

Generally a user with a Secure Tokens can approve an OS point update (macOS 13.1 > 13.2 > 13.3) without admin rights on an os newer than 12.3. Admin access is required for major OS upgrades (macOS 12 > 13), in most cases...

It's also meant to be possible to push the update via an MDM command (this isn't perfect).

Thanks so much for the information. Right now I only have computers which will go up to macOS 12.xx so that makes sense. I'll be getting a new test unit soon which I can experiment on.

Posting here to share I am in the same boat. I have users lingering on macOS 12.xx that need to be updated to macOS13.xx. This is requiring me to remote in and provide admin credentials every-time for the standard users. I understand Nudge interacting with minor software updates, that prompt users to update and use their local credentials. I am wondering if there is a solution yet for using Nudge to prompt users for major updgrades, without having the user have to enter admin credentials?
